Keto Sausage Gravy
I come from a family that appreciates good food and eating well. Every get-together, we’d have dish after dish of anything your heart desired. When eating with us, if you went hungry, it was your own fault because there wasn’t a chance in h-e-double hockey stick that we’d run out of food. In fact, there was always enough food for everyone to have leftovers for a week. We were (are) serious entertainers!
Now that I am old enough to host my own parties, I thoroughly enjoy treating our extended family to Sunday brunch. Since we all enjoy breakfast, it only made sense to share in that with the ones we love. Seeing their faces as they walked in to the enormous spread of deliciousness those Sunday mornings was truly exciting. I just loved it! And I loved passing along the entertaining principles I learned growing up.
Keto will put an interesting twist on family entertainment, as I am so passionate about this way of eating but love sharing meal time with others. Because of this, I’ve started thumbing through my favorite brunch recipes and making keto changes, trying not to compromise on taste. While I’m still working through most recipes, I feel I’ve finally been able to perfect one of my brunch staples – sausage gravy.
We keep this sausage gravy on hand at all times, as it is delicious on not only biscuits, but eggs as well. Shoot, some times, I eat it all by itself. Because, well, it’s delicious. And gravy. Plus, you don’t need anything special so I generally have the ingredients on hand at all times.
